Fried Shrimp Batter

 

       Ingredients

1 egg

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons melted butter

1/2 cup self-rising flour

Salt and pepper to taste

Morton's Nature's Seasons seasoning blend to taste

Extra flour to roll shrimp in

 

NOTE:  Another seasoning of choice can be substituted for the Morton's Nature's Seasons seasoning.

Directions

Separate egg.  Put yolk in small mixing bowl and put egg white in separate bowl.  Beat egg yolk, 1/ cup milk and melted butter in mixing bowl.  Add flour and rest of milk and beat well.  Beat egg white until stiff and fold in batter.  Dip shrimp in batter then roll in flour.  Fry in hot grease until golden.  This batter can also be used for fried onion rings.  If you like spicy shrimp, add a teaspoon of liquid crab boil to grease.
